IPAT developed this 38-page booklet to serve as a springboard for new ideas and creative actions to meet the needs of individuals with less obvious disabilities through the use of assistive technology. It discusses AT to aid individuals experiencing difficulty with memory, attention, confusion, safety, task completion, and socialization. It provides snapshot stories of individuals, proposes possible AT strategies and products to consider, identifies funding sources, and lists manufacturers' names and addresses for AT devices described within the text. This booklet is available online and, when requested, individual copies will be mailed. Alternative formats are available.
